Booking Terms

We’ pride ourselves on the quality of our bikes and equipment, top notch friendly customer service and attention to health and safety.

 

To maintain these high standards we ask the following for all rentals:

A hire deposit is provided which is fully refundable upon return of equipment in a satisfactory condition. *See 'The Small Print' below for further info*

Proof of Identification ie, photo driving licence, passport or credit card in the hirer's name will be required.

 

Signature –We assess bikes and equipment prior to and after hire, you’re responsible for the care and safety of yourself and the bike during the rental period. We ask you to return the bikes and accessories ie, helmets, puncture repair kits and locks in good order within agreed timeframes.

During your booking enquiry, we will ask the approximate height of riders to ensure we have a suitable bike available for your needs.

Please notify us of any special requirements at the time of booking.

Bicycle Equipment

The Small Print

We ask for

1. Proof of Identification ie, photo driving licence, passport or credit card in the hirer's name will be required.

2. Each bike requires a £50 hire fee damage deposit in the form of a card payment, this is fully refunded upon return of the equipment in a satisfactory condition.

3. Signed confirmation that:

  •  you understand and agree you will be responsible for the payment of any damage (including third party) caused as a consequence of: dangerous cycling, loss of control, negligence, incorrect use, or loss of equipment through not being correctly locked to a fixed object through frame and front wheel. 

  • In the event a bike is stolen whilst in your care, we ask you to agree to provide proof of lock breakage and any other relevant supporting evidence for insurance claims and police investigations.

  • all riders are competent and able cyclists and will apply the due care and attention to riding bikes they may not be familiar with. All riders can use the gears properly, adjust saddle height and at least one party can fix a puncture if required.

  • you understand and agree to abide by the Highway Code when cycling on public highways and thoroughfares, respect other users of cycling routes and off-road designated areas for public access. Dismount and walk where relevant and apply safety measures to mitigate risk of harm or damage to riders and equipment.

  • all cyclists are fit and able for the activity undertaken with no underlying health or eyesight concerns that may negatively impact their experience.

  • the client agrees not to undertake any manoeuvres beyond the capability and/or skill level of the riders or that which may be deemed dangerous. 

  • We have strongly recommended the use of helmets for safety purposes and offer the free use of these with every booking. The Client confirms it is their responsibility if they, or any other rider included in my booking, choose not to wear a helmet and suffers any form of accident, injury or death resulting this.

  • To fully indemnify Jurassic Cycles against claims of injury to the delegate or third parties unless proven that Jurassic Cycles were at fault by lack of proper maintenance for the equipment used.  Note that Jurassic Cycles is fully insured with Public Liability Insurance up to £2,000,000.

 

Charges

  • Late Return to the Collection Point may incur a charge of £10.

  • Punctures, Damage or breakage to Spokes, Chains, Derailleurs, Rims, Saddles, Gears, Shifters, Pedal Crank, Frame and Forks due to misuse will be discretionary on a case-by-case basis from the Deposit held and may incur additional repair costs.

  • Lost or damaged accessories: Repair Kit £5, Saddle Bag £15, D-Lock £20, Helmet £20. Additional accessories discretionary.

 

Cancellations

  • In the unfortunate event you need to cancel or move your booking we will be happy to do so without any penalty. If less than 24 hours prior to your booking, we will retain 50% of the deposit paid for admin and late cancellation fee.
